[Video Review] 2014 Trek Madone 5.2

We Keep Talking About It. See It For Yourself. The 2014 Trek Madone 5.2

The first thing Jesse mentions (and demonstrates) is the lightness of this bike. He picks it up easily before going on to describe it's other main characteristics: Speed and Comfort.

The 2014 Trek Madone 5.2 comes with a full Ultegra component package — 11-speeds in the back and two in the front. This allows you to have some extra gears, yet not be weighed down by the triple crankset.

Then we move on to the Bontrager Race X-Lite Stem and oversized bars, which have been installed for greater hand comfort. The front end is beefed up for stiffness, and honed for awesome aerodynamics. Bontrager Race Wheels and Tires keep you rolling smooth and sure.

One of the ways Trek makes you faster on this bike is by tucking the back brake behind the crank, keeping the bike free of that drag. Also, removing the back brake from it's usual spot allowed Trek to make the seat stays stiffer for an added level of comfort.

The 2014 Trek Madone 5.2 also utilizes DuoTrap Technology to integrate the computer sensor into the frame to measure speed, distance and cadence with no added aerodynamic drag. It works with major ANT+ wireless technology players, including Bontrager, Garmin, PowerTrap, and SRM.
